They provide a smooth base that works beautifully under clear glaze or other surface treatments. Engobes are a reliable way to bring bold color to the earliest stages of a piece.
Apply to wet clay, greenware or bisque, and fire from cones 5-10. Dinnerware safe under clear glaze.
