The
Classic
Model delivers power and professional performance
at an affordable price. Designed for most studios or classrooms, this
1/3 hp wheel centers more than 100
lbs. of clay with
ease. A 14" wheel head is standard. All wheels are built on
a heavy cast aluminum housing which
is powder coated for ease in cleaning. This design integrates a
large work surface with a built-in splash pan.
--The wheelhead
is easily removable by just lifting up and sliding the head off the
shaft.
--Optional
shaft extension raises the wheel head above the splash pan to accommodate
oversized pots.

Stuart control vs. the competition |
Each
wheel has an industrial grade motor controller with 6 individually adjustable
stages for peak motor performance. This controller sets this wheel
apart from the crowd by providing constant torque through all speed ranges.
NEW
SSX DRIVE SYSTEM NOW AVAILABLE!
The
new SSX drive option reduces noise, increases torque, and improves foot
pedal response-- add this option for just $125!

The
shaft extension raises the wheelhead above the splashpan to facilitate
large pieces.
The cuphead
is a replacement wheelhead that accepts plaster bats-- molds are available
in 12" and 16".

NOTE:
This chart is not a graph of clay capacity, but a measure of the
torque produced by each wheel. For potters wheels, torque is a
measure of how well a motor rotates a mass of clay. The greater
the torque, the more clay the wheel can turn (and the more force
you can apply during centering/throwing) without causing the belt
to slip or the motor to stall. The
Classic model uses the same motor and drive system as the Legend
(above), but has a fixed splashpan instead of a removeable one.
