Crawl Glazes

Crawl glazes are decorative ceramic glazes that intentionally pull away from the clay surface during firing, creating a textured pattern of raised “islands” and exposed clay.  The result is a striking, tactile finish that highlights the contrast between glossy glazed areas and the raw or matte surface beneath.
