KilnMaster Controller
The sealed touch pad,
shown above, is designed with single-function control buttons
that are grouped to make programming a snap. There are no
special codes to memorize—just follow the prompts. Because the
KilnMaster allows you to store programs, it is simple to recall
your stored program and begin the firing. A real timesaver. |
Light Fiber Lid
Ease -
The light fiber lid coupled with our innovative lid brace design make
opening and closing the kiln a one handed operation. The touchpad has
been moved higher for easy access to programming. Like all Skutt kilns
the new ovals are sectional making them easy to move, repair and
disassemble for loading large pieces. The entire kiln can be assembled
and disassembled in less then 10 minutes using only a screwdriver. Our
new busbar element connection design makes changing elements a breeze. |
Sectional Design
We were the first to offer
detachable sections, which makes kilns easier to move . One
person can move and set up most models and repairs are much
easier. Many models allow you to increase capacity with a Blank
Ring.
Additionally, you can stack a kiln around large work. |

The Skutt Production
Kiln (PK) line was designed to handle the rigorous demands of
high-volume ceramic manufacturers and high-fire artists. In
production, time is money. PK kilns are designed to save you both.
The major difference between our standard and PK kilns is power—the
power to fire dense loads to highfire temperatures without the kiln
slowing down. Our PK line offers a couple of primary benefits which
can add up to a better bottom line:
1) Firing can be accelerated sufficiently for most firings to allow
the
user to turn the kiln in a twenty-four hour period, sometimes dou-
bling volume produced.
2) PK kilns have the power to reach temperature without slowing
down on the high end. This exposes the elements to less of the
damaging high heat atmosphere. This translates into longer element
life. And because the kiln is not spending unnecessary time getting
to temperature it is actually less expensive to fire.
The elements are specially balanced to improve life and maximize
energy
efficiency, and all PK kilns are equipped with industrial Mercury
Relays
and heavy gauge high temperature wire to handle this added power.

Skutt Kiln 2 Year Warranty |
Skutt’s 2 year warranty is straight forward.
If you have a failed component on your kiln within 2 years
of purchasing it, we will fix it. We will pay parts AND
labor. Many of our full service distributors will even
repair the kiln on site. Due to the fact that it is possible
to exceed the estimated life of a thermocouple before the
end of the warranty period, thermocouples are the only items
we do not cover under our warranty. |
