Highwater Clay Update
Update from Highwater Clay:
“Dear Highwater Clays Customers,
As you all know, Hurricane Helene has completely devastated our home city of Asheville and the surrounding region. The flooding that occurred was historic, catastrophic, and unprecedented. Our Asheville store, offices, warehouse, inventory, and production facilities were destroyed in the flood, and we are unable to manufacture clay.
Since the flood, we have been working hard to clean up our warehouse and facilities. During this process we have learned that it will take even longer than originally expected to recover from the loss, if recovery is even possible. At the present we still have no power, no usable water, no phone service, and no internet availability. We are currently unable to estimate the damage to our clay-mixing equipment due to the lack of power and water. The city has also deemed our facilities unsafe to operate for business. There is no possible way to predict a re-start date.
Highwater Clays of Florida sustained damages from hurricane Milton. It is currently under repair and will reopen soon.
Please continue to have patience and understand that we have many disaster-related obstacles and work ahead of us. At this time we are incapable of making, selling, or distributing clay. Please seek other sources for ceramic materials, or contact Highwater Clays of Florida.
We will do our best to update this website as information becomes available. We are deeply touched by all your good wishes and prayers in this difficult time. Thank you.
Highwater Clays”
