THREE
YEAR LIMITED KILN WARRANTY
L&L
Kilns are warranted to be free of defects in workmanship for a period of (3)
years, starting on the date of original purchase from L&L Kiln Mfg., Inc.
(L&L) or from an authorized L&L distributor or dealer, subject to the
following terms, including the exclusions and limitations below. A sales
receipt is required for proof of purchase. In addition, L&L may require
you to deliver defective parts to L&L for examination. DO NOT DISCARD
PARTS BEFORE CONTACTING L&L FOR INSTRUCTIONS. FAILURE TO ADHERE TO
L&L’s INSTRUCTIONS, INCLUDING THOSE STATED HEREIN, WILL VOID THIS
WARRANTY. L&L will replace or repair any defective part that is covered by
this warranty and sent freight-prepaid to L&L. L&L will prepay
shipping cost back to you, at no charge to you. On-site labor is not covered
by L&L.
EXCLUSIONS AND
LIMITATIONS
- Kilns
that have been used for firing objects that are not ceramic.
- Over-firing
damage regardless of cause for the over firing. IMPORTANT: We specifically
warn you not to fire the kiln unattended. Neither the Dawson Kiln Sitter,
the DynaTrol or the Orton electronic controls are designed to be failproof
shut off devices. L&L is not responsible for damage caused by failure
of one of these controls. Kiln should not be left unattended especially
during its last phase of firing when it is supposed to stop firing.
- The
Dawson Kiln Sitter and Orton controls are warranted by their
manufacturers. L&L is not responsible for damage caused by failure of
one of these controls.
- Reduction
firing or salt glaze use of kiln.
- Damage
due to: neglect, mechanical abuse, improper storage, inadequate
maintenance, improper use or freight damage.
- Damage
due to improper electrical installations or use of improper voltage.
- Firebrick
cracking or chipping for any reason. By its nature firebrick will chip and
crack. It is fragile.
- Failure
to report defect within 10 days after it becomes manifest or known.
- Damage
caused by exposure to elements such as rain, snow, dust, etc.
- Alteration
of parts or design from factory designs.
- Use
of elements and other parts other than those supplied by L&L.
- Thermocouples
are not warranted.
- Warranty
responsibility is limited to replacement of defective items. Kilns can not
be returned.
- Special,
incidental or consequential damages including property damage, bodily
injury or death, lost profits, loss of use or other economic loss are
excluded to the full extent permitted by applicable law.
- Implied
warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness
for a particular purpose, are expressly disclaimed.
- Dealers
and Distributors are not authorized by L&L to assume any other
obligations or liabilities other than those expressed in this limited
warranty.
- This
warranty gives the purchaser certain rights, and possibly other rights
that may be different state to state.

YEAR PRO RATED ELEMENT WARRANTY
Elements are
warranted for 2 years on a pro rated basis with the following exceptions:
- Glaze
damage to element caused by accidentally scraping edges of unfired glazed
ware against element groove and causing unfired glaze to contaminate
element which causes obvious damage to elements with resultant element
failure.
- Firing
of kiln to higher than 2350*F. (or rating of kiln, if lower.)
- Damage
to elements caused by explosion of ceramic object. This may cause small
pieces of clay to contaminate the element and cause failure.
The following
is the Pro Rated Schedule for elements:
- Elements
are warranted on a prorated schedule based on the ship date of the kiln.
All dates are based on ship date from factory if sold direct or drop
shipped to customer. If sold from a distributor's warehouse the date would
be based on when it was shipped and/or sold from the distributor. We are
not responsible for the fact that a kiln may not have been used for a
period of the warranty (for instance if the kiln sat unopened for 3
months).
- This
only applies to new kilns. Replacement elements are not warranted except
for catastrophic failure (for instance the element end broke off).
- Labor
to replace elements is not covered.
- The
Pro-rated discount schedule only is valid for elements that you are
actually replacing. In other words you can't buy a whole set of elements
at these prices for anticipated future replacement. We reserve the right
to ask for replaced elements in return.

YEAR LIMITED VENT AND TRU-VIEW PYROMETER WARRANTY
L&L
VS-1 Vent-Sure and Tru-View Pyrometer System are warranted to be free of
defects in workmanship for a period of (2) years, starting from date of
original purchase from L&L Kiln Mfg., Inc. or from an authorized L&L
distributor or dealer. A sales receipt is required for proof of purchase. In
addition, L&L may require you to send in defective parts for examination.
DO NOT DISCARD PARTS BEFORE CONTACTING L&L. L&L Kiln Mfg., Inc. will
replace or repair any defective part sent freight-prepaid to L&L Kiln
Mfg., Inc. after related correspondence regarding problem. L&L Kiln Mfg.,
Inc. will prepay shipping cost back to you, at no charge to you. On site labor
is not covered by the factory; however, local distributors may offer this
service.
EXCLUSIONS AND
LIMITATIONS
Thermocouples
are not covered.
