Designed for studios and classrooms, this 1/2 hp wheel centers more than 150 lbs of clay. A 14" wheel head is standard. All wheels are built on a heavy cast aluminum housing which is powder coated for ease in cleaning. This design integrates a large work surface with your choice of removable splash pan- round or full-size. --The wheelhead is easily removable by just lifting up and sliding the head off the shaft. --Optional shaft extension raises the wheel head above the splash pan to accommodate oversized pots.

For potters wheels, torque is a measure of how well a motor rotates a mass of clay. The greater the torque, the more clay the wheel can turn (and the more force you can apply during centering/throwing) without causing the belt to slip or the motor to stall. The Revolution model uses the same motor and drive system as the Elite (above), but has a removable splashpan instead of a fixed one.
