High performance, controlled cooling, heavier insulation, and the heavy duty construction of the Olympic 28 inch kiln combine to give you a perfect firing every time. For the commercial potter or ceramist this means more finished pieces and more profits. A width of 28.25" and depths of 27 to 31.5" give kiln volumes of 10 and 11.67 cubic feet respectively. The advanced design of the Olympic 28 enables cone 8 firings with the same 47 amp, 240 volt power requirement of the 23 inch series. You can increase your firing load by 43% without an increase in electrical consumption or any sacrifice in firing performance. Olympic 28 inch kilns have a three position rotary switch on each of the element rings giving the correct heat control for any type firing--or get high quality automatic firing with an optional electronic control. Other standard features are hinged lid, metal stand, stainless steel jacket, and Dawson Automatic shut-off. Olympic 28 inch kilns come with the added insulation of a three-inch wall brick-- that means 20% more wall thickness for a stronger, more efficient kiln. Rings can be added and removed to accommodate varying loads.
