Olympic has incorporated the high quality standards of its electric kilns into the Torchbearer Gas Kilns. Portable gas kilns offer many advantages such as lower initial cost, convenient movement for demonstration firings, and for use in situations where space does not permit the installation of large permanent kilns. Olympic Torchbearer Raku Kilns will reach cone 10 on propane or natural gas. It is easy to adjust your kiln for oxidation, reduction, or raku firing. The multiple burner configuration gives the Torchbearers very even heating characteristics, fast controllable firing times, and economical operation; the kiln is equipped with a ratcheted crank for easy and safe access during firing. Ignition Ring and Thermocouple Safety Valve-($180.00 option) This enables the multiple burners to be ignited from one point, keeps the burners lit and shuts the gas flow off if the burners are not ignited. Furniture Kit--($ 160.00 option) Shelves are 1/2" thick - 1 full shelf, 4 half shelves, 6 each 3", 6", 8", and 10" posts and 1 lb kiln wash. |
