Clear Art Glazes Information
Characteristics: The glazes in this series are not totally clear, but are ideal for use over Opaque Underglazes and One Strokes. They may be applied to bisque to produce a soft color, tinting it, or they may be applied heavily to give a bit more color, depending upon which is used. They offer no significant color contribution.

Application: 

  • Apply 2 coats when used over underglazes, 3 coats on plain bisque.
  • Fire to shelf cone 06. Some may be high fired.

Notes:

  • 2 coats are sufficient over underglazes, too much will eat up the underlying color.
  • When used alone, 3 coats give more color depth.
  • All of the clear art glazes are dinnerware safe when applied and fired properly to shelf cone 06.
  • Some have specks of different colors
