Art Glazes

The term "art glaze" is usually used as a catchall to describe any glaze that produces a lustrous finish, dual coloring, multi or single colored specs, gold or metallic flecks or a grained or metallic look. The AG-200 Series are well described by the individual color name and the term "gloss." The AG-400 Series have two or three tone color with both matte and glossy finishes. Unless otherwise indicated, art glazes are not food safe. These glazes do contain lead and have been discontinued, so quantities are limited.

Clear Art Glazes

Clear Art Glazes are very translucent and contain a hint of color. Among many uses they are ideal for use over Opaque Underglazes and One Strokes. They may be applied to the bisque to produce a soft color, only tinting it or it can be applied heavily to give a bit more color depending on the glaze used. These glazes do contain lead and have been discontinued, so quantities are limited.
