Slap Stix textured paddles are made out of hard plastic that resists clay sticking when you slap it against firm clay in most situations (although a little releasing agent like Pam cooking spray, WD-40, Murphys Oil Soap, or liquid dish detergent on the paddle will help prevent wetter, stickier clay bodies from sticking). The textured part of the paddle is approximately 9-1/2" x 2-3/4" and the overall length is 14" including the handle. Each paddle features two unique texture patterns. Use them to accent both thrown and handbuilt pieces. Try paddling the pot then stretching the clay to deform and stretch the texture. Paddle at odd, overlapping angles in selected areas. Fill you piece with texture, then scrape the texture smooth in certain areas to create drama.
