Excel Kilns are precision
manufactured with only top quality components to assure years of
service. And they include many standard features that are extra on
other round kilns. Excel? kilns include many features that are extra
on other round or multi-sided kilns. The refractory lids are sealed to
prevent brick dust from falling into the kiln while also prolonging
the life of the lid. In addition, the lid and bottom slabs are
reversible, further extending the life of the kiln. Each section has
two long-lasting elements for more uniform heat radiation while
offering more options for placing shelves. All these features and more
at a very affordable price make Excel? kilns an excellent value.
Excel Kilns exclusively use corrosion resistant, replaceable element
lug connectors which permit easy element replacement so there are no
wires to cut or solder. Simply disconnect with a screwdriver, replace
element, and re-connect. Some 10 and 12-sided models come standard
with EZ-Lift while others can be ordered with the EZ-Lift heavy duty
spring loaded hinge for effortless
opening and closing.
Sectional Design
Excel? kilns are shipped fully assembled, however they can be quickly
disassembled for brick or element replacement and easier moving through
narrow doorways or down stairs. Each section has two handles for easier
carrying and strong latches that securely hold the sections together.
Due to its larger size, the EX-1850SF has four handles per section.
Select Fire? Option
We think you?ll find that the Select
Fire? controller is a snap to program. The prompts are so easy to follow
that even complicated programs can be entered by a novice. You can also
store custom profiles that are simple to recall later, saving even more
time.
Zone Control Option
Select Fire? Zone Control, standard on model EX-1850SF and optional on
EX-365SF (all models except 208V, single phase) and EX-1099SF for $350
additional, uses three thermocouples to read the temperature of all
three sections throughout the firing cycle. If the temperature in any
section becomes too high or too low, the controller turns the elements
on or off for that section to even out the heat.
